Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release an inmate, post bond, schedule visitation, or pull an official booking record. Use the official Guadalupe County contacts below for custody, bond, jail-record, and open-records questions.

Official Guadalupe County Jail and Records Contacts

For local jail custody, start with the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office and the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center. The jail is the county's central booking facility, and the sheriff's office handles written open-records requests for sheriff and jail records.

GCSO says written open-records requests may take up to 10 business days. Researched fee language lists report copies at $5.00 each, with $0.10 per page after 10 pages; copies of recordings at $75.00; and research or assembling time at $25.00 per hour. Fees must be paid before release, and the sheriff's form may require valid photo ID.

Use the most specific path for the record or custody question:

  • For a person believed to be in the county jail, use jail inmate records and the Tyler PublicAccess jail records route first.
  • For a booking photo or mugshot request, review jail roster mugshots and then use GCSO open records if the photo is not shown online.
  • For charges filed after booking, use court records after a jail arrest and the appropriate Guadalupe County clerk's office.
  • For facility rules, visitation, mail, phone, and bond basics, use the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center page listed in the footer.
  • For a sentenced Texas prisoner transferred out of county custody, search the Texas Department of Criminal Justice locator.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP inmate locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System instead of the county jail line.
